"Hey WWW!"

It's been a few weeks since my last post, and many of you might be wondering, "Where've ya been, Shannon?"

After spending the 4th of July weekend performing with the Lima Symphony Orchestra, I left for New York City in order to take a summer math and web design course. (I wish Fordham had accepted my Pre-Calculus/Calculus credits from high school to fulfill this 'core curriculum' requirement, but alas, this is not an option at my university)!

As you can imagine, it has been A LOT of work at a VERY FAST pace. However, one bright spot in between all of the homework and exam preparation was when Sarah Hider, Miss North Coast, came to visit me!!! We had such a fun time; she is an awesome and lovely gal! :) Look below for a few random photos from our weekend:

On a different note, I would like to congratulate two very special friends of mine, Devon Stansbury and Jena Sweigart, for their FANTASTIC work at Miss Lake Festival 2010! Devon captured the title and became our very first local winner in the new pageant season. Jena was 1st Runner Up...in her very first "Miss" competition after transitioning out of the Outstanding Teen Program! Congratulations to both of them!

Thank You, Lima Symphony Orchestra!

I would simply like to send a heart felt "THANK YOU!" out to Crafton Beck and The Lima Symphony Orchestra for inviting me to perform with them, serving as their feature soloist over the Fourth of July weekend! What a wonderful experience!

As Miss Lima Square Fair and as a vocalist, I am so thrilled, humbled and honored to have had this opportunity, and to have made such a special memory for both my family and myself.
